Tune of the mellow Week!

I'm finally back! I'm sorry for the super duper lack of posts lately. Life suddenly took a sharp turn for me and things are starting to pick up again. It's funny how life has its bright and dark sides, i think that in the end the purpose of this is to make us a better, wiser person. So with all this change, i think the Tune of the Week went perfectly for me.

Pogo - Alice <- Tune of the Week! VERY different from the stuff you will usually find here. But still a very nice song. Magic and intriguing, it has samples from the Walt Disney classic "Alice in Wonderland".

here is the music video. Better watchable under the influence of cannabis.

One Love.

Small, But Powerful

Well some loyal fans inspired me not to go on strike lol. This is a small post but considering the tracks on it it's huge. Just like Mighty Mouse, never judge a post by it's size lol.

Mark Knight & Funkagenda - Good Times (Original Mix) <---- Super excited for this track

Dirty South - We Are feat Rudy (Original Mix) <---- Bomb!!!

Mini Chill Out Beach Post:
16 Bit Lolitas & Ohmna - Take It Or Leave It

THIS MUSIC IS JUICY!!!

WEEEEEEEELCOME BACK GUARO!!!!!! LOL i'm back and blacker than ever. Sorry to everyone for not posting but i've been dealing with some family stuff so i havent had time for anything. But i'm back and lets get this party started.

Well if havent already found out, this week's feature artist of the week is my idol Mr. Juicy, ROBBIE RIVERA!!!

Rivera grew in Puerto Rico, he was a fan of Freestyle and Eurobeat when he bought two turntables to test himself in becoming a dj. He has learned the hard way and teaching himself how to deejay. Rivera used to play at weddings and school party gigs in which common deejays start off with (kinda like yours truly), but it was his natural talent that he used while working with the crowds that kept him playing in big clubs at age of 16. After graduation and high school, Robbie went to the Art Institute at Fort Lauderdale, FL to study music production and was introduced to many different digital audio tools. While in college he released hi first record, "Sorulla"; A track influenced by the Latin House. The track became popular in New York and Miami and his career was underway.

After major hits he has defintly travelled the world. As it says on his website: "His dj sets contaiong his infectous blend of tough sexy grooves have put him in high-demand. On a contiuous world-tour, and with a diary resembling an airport departure board his music has recently packed-ot the dance-floors of Ibiza, Barcelona, South America, Poland, Puerto Rico, NYC, L.A., Chicago, London, Asia, Italy, Tunisia, Canada, Moscow, Australia, Vienna, and of course his hometown of Miami." SOOP WOOP!!!

As well as a dj he is a very sucessful producer with his record label Juicy Records. His Label motto "This Music is Juicy" In which it is very much.

Ok nuff of me talkin, lets get to the tunage. And in honor of Robbie i made my own Juicy mix for all of you. Here we go.

Jacking Tuesday.

Hey fellow, M&HM heads. Big weekend coming up (yes, i'm talking about 4/20), and i've been running around like crazy. Luckily, i got some time to upload some crazy tunes, so here we go.

whew, One Love.

Your neighborhood friendly movie news.

Why, hello there. Midweek posting madness starts.. NOW.
Here are some of the most interesting movie updates gathered into a meaty post.

*TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN will be long. According to Michael Bay himself, the movie's runtime is 147 minutes; or in other words, 4 minutes longer then the first.
When asked by MTV about what the studio had to say, Bay replied: "I don't even talk (to executives) about run times. Studios always ask, 'What's the runtime?' And i'm like, 'If you enjoy the movie, will you care?"

My reaction: the man has a point.

*TERMINATOR SALVATION's director McG is attached to direct a big screen adaptation of Broadway's smash hit: SPRING AWAKENING. Why YOU should care? Oh, because it features a group of bored teenagers in the 19th Century having a lot of sex and dealing with such problems as masturbation, abortion and rape. That's why.

*BIG NEWS: FAST & FURIOUS 5 to feature a lot of samba, cafe, carnaval! (see what i did there?) That's right, "Paul Walker and Vin Diesel do Brazil" is coming to a theater near you in the next couple of years or so.
When asked about a sequel on 104.3 MyFM in LA, that's what Walker had to say: "Vin and I will be coming back, we're making a fifth one. We are going to Brazil, that's it."

*THE EXPENDABLES is a movie coming up next year that you should google more often. It not only features Sylvester Stallone looking rather fuckin' fit, a kickass action movie cast, featuring; Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy, Jet Li, Danny Trejo, Terry Crews, and The fuckin' Governator himself Arnold Schwarzenegger, it is gangsta enough to be filmed in (you guessed it) Brazil.

*You thought Fast & Furious 5 was unnecessary? How about BOURNE 4? I mean, we pretty much figured out how Bourne became Bourne in the end of Ultimatum, what else is there? Apparently, a lot according to Bourne franchise producer Frank Marshall when tweeting that "Bourne 4 is scheduled for a 2011 release". So yeah, expect a lot more shacky cameras chasing Bourne chase bad guys around tiny corridors.

Mid-week Bombastic Fill-up.

You probably have a car. You probably LOVE driving. You, like me, probably LOVE listening to house music AS you drive. Which means you probably need A LOT of filling-up the tank during the week, like me.
You are probably asking "what the fuck are you saying, Miojo? where are the tunes?"

Wait. I have a point.

You see, it's Thursday already and the weekend is right around the corner. So if you are smart enough, like me, you would drive your ass to the gas station right now so you don't have to go through that hussle during the weekend.

Being a nice guy that i am, i updated some of the bombs that i'm currently listening to right now. Which ARE indeed bombs. Thank you, I know i have a good taste.

Lissat & Voltaxx - Release Yourself (Kid Massive Audio Damage Dub) <- a classic remixed into a more modern tech-house bomb.

Michel Cleis - La Mezcla (Original) <- played and supported by Laidback Luke during WMC!

Laidback Luke vs Steve Angello - Love Me Right (Hardwell 2009 Mix) <- excellent track all around. It's Show Me Love, goddamn it!

3 more from Koze's best: DJ Koze - Snauzi Peitsch

Dj Koze - Abundinga <- crazy african drums, intense bass pumping!

Leave your house and go fill-up that tank. Don't forget that recently updated iPod of yours! You're welcome!

One Love.

Finally, Tune of the Week!

This week's "Tune of the Week" featured the work of one of the top minimal artists from Germany, Dj Koze. Known for his subtle use of snare loops, moving Jazz references, and deep bass pounding, Koze's work has captured the eyes (and ears!) of various nightclubs all across Europe.

Check his wonderful work at his MySpace.

Sascha Funke - Mango Cookie (Dj Koze's Pink Moon Remix) <- BOMB! Features very long and beautiful climaxes for quick bass bouncing and a dreamy acapella.

BONUS: Dj Koze - I Want to Sleep (Original Mix) <- Fuck, i love this tune. I just had to share.

One Love!

The Bloody Beetroots

Hello peeps. Me and Miojo have made a new addition to the blog. It's called THE FEATURE ARTIST OF THE WEEK!!! (cool trumpets in the background) Weekly or Bi-weekly we will be rotating in choosing a musical artist and giving a brief (or not) BIO on the artist and posting some tracks and/or videos from the artist and just showin love to great artists of today. So this inaugural week it will be me kicking it off. Shall we start!?!.......... of course

This weeks FEATURE ARTIST OF THE WEEK (cool trumpets in the background) is The Bloody Beetroots.

You might be asking yourself who is this? (or maybe not..... kudos) Well these guys aren't your typical electro djs your used to on the blog. This segment from their website explains it very clearly. "Imagine the love child of the Misfits and Daft Punk; the act of conception would be grisly, but what a mighty offspring their union would generate. A formidable force a la the Bloody Beetroots."

This Italian electro group formed in late 2006 by producer Bobby Rifo, an international indie producer, and Dj Tommy Tea. The album Cornelius was in the Top 100 International iTunes downloads. The duo wears spiderman masks at performances making it extra fucking awesome to watch. Their music with hard hitting, ass kicking bass and samples will defintly leave you bruised up. I call it Punk Techno. I had the experience to see them live at this years, Ultra Music fest. and what a fucking show. Mosh pit + Dancing = Awesomeness. Here are some songs and vids to give you a little taste. Next time they are in your town you better go, it's a must.

Warp 1.9 (feat Steve Aoki)
<---- BIGGEST BOMB OF ALL TIME!!!

Cornelius (Extended Mix) <--- 2nd Biggest!!!

Rombo (feat. Congorock)

Butter <----- This song was in the soundtrack for FIFA 09 (just an fyi)

I Love The Bloody Beetroots <---- you should

You Know What Really Grinds My Gears???

You what really grinds my gears? Bad dj's!!! Over the last week i have had to the opportunity to go to two clubs scoop in Boca Raton, and Living Room in Fort Lauderdale. Both motha fuck times it kinda killed my experience because of bad dj's. First dude (scoop dj) mixin was oooooook.... but didnt play enough good music to keep me entertained. Second guy (now at the living room) real cheesy guy played some great music but mixing was horrible!!!! When i say horrible i mean like i wanted to jump in the booth myself and say bitch im takin over. He played the same god damn sample over and over and over every 5 sec. and he cut the music randomly and i was wtf mate. But yea why dont these nice clubs give actual good dj's a chance (not pointing any bows GUARO & MIOJO!!!). So come on people tell your local club or venue that real dj's with real HOUSE music and real talent are here to blow yall away!!!!................. and now for your regularly scheduled program.

BRING THE HOUSE MUSIC!!!

Laidback Luke etc - Leave The World Behind Vs Show Me Love Mashup <--- man already a remix it's gangsta though

Abel Ramos & Mark Simmons - Cava (Mark Simmons Mix) <---- BOMB!!!

Deadmau5 - Catbread (Original Mix) <--- Another great Deadmau5 track

Disco Wheels - Good Times (Denis The Menace & Big World Mix) <---- i found this one lying around
