The Dark Knight was the best movie of 2008

That's not according to the Oscars, of course (well, partially).

Last night, Heath Ledger won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as.. you know. Heath's sister, Kate Ledger, took the floor to thank the academy and represent the actor for his posthumous award.

The Dark Knight took another Oscar for Best Sound Editing on top of Wall-E, Iron Man, Wanted and Slumdog Millionaire. And it was also nominated for many other awards.

Oh, and did you know The Dark Knight just surpassed the $1 Billion mark this past weekend? Thus making it only the FOURTH movie ever to pass the mark only losing to, of course, Titanic, The Lord of Rings: The Return of the King and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

whew..

So yes, in my opinion, and clearly in MANY OTHERS The Dark Knight IS the best movie of 2008 and it will be remembered for years to come.
