Hello peeps. Me and Miojo have made a new addition to the blog. It's called THE FEATURE ARTIST OF THE WEEK!!! (cool trumpets in the background) Weekly or Bi-weekly we will be rotating in choosing a musical artist and giving a brief (or not) BIO on the artist and posting some tracks and/or videos from the artist and just showin love to great artists of today. So this inaugural week it will be me kicking it off. Shall we start!?!.......... of course
This weeks FEATURE ARTIST OF THE WEEK (cool trumpets in the background) is The Bloody Beetroots.
You might be asking yourself who is this? (or maybe not..... kudos) Well these guys aren't your typical electro djs your used to on the blog. This segment from their website explains it very clearly. "Imagine the love child of the Misfits and Daft Punk; the act of conception would be grisly, but what a mighty offspring their union would generate. A formidable force a la the Bloody Beetroots."
This Italian electro group formed in late 2006 by producer Bobby Rifo, an international indie producer, and Dj Tommy Tea. The album Cornelius was in the Top 100 International iTunes downloads. The duo wears spiderman masks at performances making it extra fucking awesome to watch. Their music with hard hitting, ass kicking bass and samples will defintly leave you bruised up. I call it Punk Techno. I had the experience to see them live at this years, Ultra Music fest. and what a fucking show. Mosh pit + Dancing = Awesomeness. Here are some songs and vids to give you a little taste. Next time they are in your town you better go, it's a must.
